This print is inspired by my early morning walks along the seafront in early spring. Every day, as the weather warmed up, the flowers became more prolific and their colours brighter. Often, out at sea, there would be a fishing boat chugging from one crab pot to another. The rhythmic sound of the engine and the silhouette of the boat as it ploughed through the glistening sea was both soothing and inspiring. At the end of my walks I couldn’t wait to get in the studio and paint what I'd seen.
