An original oil painting on canvas, in a bespoke white wooden frame
Inspired by a hidden creek where my husband and I would swim in the winter. If the sea was too choppy the creek always seemed calm and tranquil. In the spring the overgrown path down to the water was pungent with the scent of roses and honeysuckle. The tree ferns that stand like sentries in front of the house make it look almost tropical, but I can assure you the water was anything but.
